Brush thoroughly once per week. Begin with slicker brush to get all hair in the same direction. If your dog has an undercoat, next use the undercoat rake. Finally, finish with a comb to catch any remaining tangles.

When wet, brush through with a pin brush and immediately brush when dry, otherwise matting can occur.
